Anne Arundel County fire officials responded to a water rescue Saturday in Riviera Beach. Fire department personnel were called around 3:30 p.m. to the area of Stoney Creek near the 8400 block of Bay Drive in Riviera Beach. The initial report to 911 was that a 16-year-old boy went into the water and did not resurface. Dive team members with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and a fireboat were deployed to the scene to search for the victim. Fire officials say the victim was located in the water at 5:04 p.m. Paramedics took the boy to a hospital in critical condition.
