Serious Sam: The First Encounter - Internal Test v0.10 Prototype - 2000-10-23

Surprise leak for Serious Sam TFE's 24th birthday.

Video directly captured by the GPU, also GPU forced and overriden maximum ammount of anti-aliasing, anisotropy, MSAA and other enhancements.
Uploaded uncompresed, unedited in 1920x1440 resolution, because the game only supports 4:3 aspect ratio.


- Differences and changes:

There are many differences compared to both public test versions and the final release. This is the only build with bump mapping actually working inside the Technology Test level.
Marshoppers are called Gizmos and use different animations and a different skin, Arachnoid spiders too, the third variant is also still present.
This beta has the most complete code and behavior for the "Devil" enemy which turned out to be the final game's main boss Ugh-Zan III.
The Reeban Electro Fish has a different texture, Alurdan Reptilions behave differently, have different animations and the Highlander has a different texture, weapon sounds are compressed differently and some sound completely different like the Double Barrel Coachgun, Lasergun, Pistol... The Cannon uses a model different from the January 2000 Evaluation Build alpha, and we finally have the missing firing sound for the weapon, other weapons simply still use their alpha and Test 1 models. Level names are different, capture the flag and king of the hill gamemodes are still present in the multiplayer mode select. Online coop actually works. Maps have different music arrangements, Moon Mouthains is called Dream Waterfalls and has a skybox more similar to the alpha version, the boss enemy is a Lava Elemental aka early version of the Lava Golem. Sand Canyon has a different layout, the terrain is different and it's pretty much reversed.
Dunes has some weird arcade style text upon destroying enemies. Generally there are a bunch of changes ranging from the textures, models, sounds, music and actual gameplay, even the player movement and sounds are completely different, especially the jumping. The game played on serious difficulty level is much harder than the final release and obviously lacked polishment, but it's overall a great experience.

Karnak Enter Complex is absolutely the same as the one from the Test 1 tech test demo, except the music was replaced in the files with an earlier version of the tracks used in the "Sewers" map from the final release.
