In the Bhagavad Gita, it states:

"All activities are carried out by the three modes of material nature. But in IGNORANCE, the soul, DELUDED BY FALSE IDENTIFICATION with the body, thinks of itself as the doer." (BG 3.27)

There’s so much we could explore here, but today I would like to focus on the distinction between the ignorant "I" and the real "I."

The ignorant "I," not knowing who it truly is or where it springs from, seeks outwardly for conditions to be met in order to experience love, happiness, peace, bliss, and fulfillment. It engages in endless activities it does not need to do, generating suffering in the process.

When the ignorant "I" turns inwardly and discovers that eternal love, happiness, peace, bliss, and fulfillment are found within — at the source of the "I" — the ignorant "I" dissolves, and the real "I" emerges.

The real "I," unswayed by appearances, remains stabilized in the still I AM Presence, witnessing the fruits of creation spontaneously arising — appearing as love, happiness, peace, and fulfillment.

In other words, if the ignorant "I" is honest with itself, it will recognize that its attempts to place conditions upon consciousness — while sometimes providing temporary relief — inevitably lead to suffering, because it has not realized its source to be both what it was seeking all along and the true doer of the works.

The real "I," on the other hand, experiences eternal and everlasting love, happiness, peace, bliss, and fulfillment — effortlessly and in FLOW — because it knows who it is and where it comes from.

The distinction is simple:

The ignorant "I" tries to control reality. The real "I" knows reality is already under control — as only God alone exists, animating all perfectly.
