The impact of massive wildfires burning swaths of New Jersey are now being felt beyond the Garden State. The New Jersey fire is 50% contained but there is no holding back the haze and smoke, which is now sweeping over New York City. Air quality alerts are in effect until midnight on Friday. A haze has appeared in NYC's Times Square and it is reminding many people of the eerie orange glow that hovered over the city two years ago as a result of Canadian forest fires.
