Marylanders describe the late Pope Francis as a "pastor of souls" with a great concern for the poor and marginalized. Father Louis Bianco is one of many sharing a message of hope Monday that is reminiscent of the blessing given by the pope Sunday at St. Peter's Square. The black bunting now drapes church doorways from the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen to downtown Baltimore's Baltimore Basilica, which signifies the time of mourning. Parishioners say Pope Francis left a mark as the first Jesuit and Latin American pontiff, while many also acknowledge a sense of uncertainty in his passing.
