US President Trump Pauses Tariffs Hike for Most Countries for 90 Days, But Raises for China | N18G

US President Donald Trump has paused reciprocal tariffs against all countries for 90 days, except China. The United States has increased tariffs on goods from China from 104 percent to a massive 125 percent. Meanwhile, baseline tariffs of ten percent remain in place for all other countries. Trump made the decision to raise tariffs on China after it imposed 84 percent tariffs on US goods. Trump also accused Beijing of showing a lack of respect after China’s retaliation. Meanwhile, the US Commerce Secretary and Trump have said they expect Trump to have a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Meawnhile, markets also lifted after the pause on higher tariffs.
