Meteorologist Tony Pann says it is an Impact Weather day for the Orioles home opener as heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected starting in the late afternoon. The thunderstorms could develop anytime after 3 p.m. with them most likely from 5–10 p.m. Heavy rain and lightning is likely with a slight risk for damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes. The rain will last through the evening and will taper off by Tuesday morning. It will be chillier but dry and sunny for the next couple of days as temps will only reach the upper 50s. It will warm backup for the end of the week with temps returning to the 70s but there will be a chance for showers each day starting on Thursday.
