Flying in 1979 It Was a New Experience

This commercial was filmed by me at Dulles airport in 1976 when flying for most people was new. There is something sweet about it especially the girl who is not sure how planes fly. I don't really understand how planes fly today.

I was working for the company that made the jet engines on the plane; Pratt and Whitney. They understood that one did not have to talk about the engines to sell their product. It was called "corporate image" advertising, and it was new. It gave me the wonderful opportunity to make a commercial that was broader than "straight" advertising.

We filmed at Dulles because the government gave us permission to be on the runway. That would be a pretty hard permission to get today.
