First and foremost, I thank the Lord for the opportunity to know Him an minister His word; for His Spirit that always abides, teaches and empowers. I honour and acknowledge my man of God, Prophet Uebert Angel, who God has used to impact my life in so many ways - something that money cannot buy. I thank Pastor Danish and his team for putting this program together.
ALL THINGS WERE GOOD
The first chapter of Genesis is a summary of creation (organising and filling up the deep) of this present present world, as we know it. This also summarised the first account of the creation of man. In verse 31, recording the events of the 6th day, the bible testified that "God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. This included man, as well as the rest of creation. Everything was perfect in appearance and functionality.
THE LORD WHO HEALS
In Exodus 15:26, we see God as Jehovah Rapha - The Lord who heals. It was very important to God that His people are healed, and also important for them to KNOW that He is the One that heals.
HEALED BY HIS STRIPES
When Jesus came to make the ultimate sacrifice, He could have died any other way; It would not have been necessary to have him flogged or whipped. The Father allowed His body to be broken so that blood would come out and touch the earth, a benefit to us for our healing. Isaiah saw this (Isaiah 53:5) - "and with his stripes we are healed". He actually saw it as accomplished already; "we are healed".
THE WITNESS OF THE BLOOD
The Bible records 3 witnesses in heaven, and 3 witnesses on earth. Let us look at 1John5:7-8. In heaven, we have the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost. On earth, we have this record "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, the water and the blood; and these three agree in one". In the book of John 19:34, while Jesus hung on the cross, a soldier took a spear and pierced his side; blood and water gushed out. Both touched the earth. Th earth swallowed them. Since the earth swallowed the blood, the blood continues to testify of the benefits of the works of Christ for you and for me. Hebrews 12:24 talks of the witness of the blood in this manner"...and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel". Note the word "speaks". Its in the present continuous. Since Cain killed Abel, his blood has been speaking, and from the time the Jews crucified Jesus, His blood continues to speak, but here is the Good News: the blood of Jesus testifies of all the good things Christ obtained for you; the remission of your sins, your reconciliation to the Father, your sonship, your healing, your sanctification. The list goes on. Hallelujah!
HE WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD
Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him". This meant that anytime Jesus healed the sick, God classified it as "doing good" and anytime people are sick, they are "oppressed of the devil". God wants you free!
SICKNESS IS A THIEF
John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it ,ore abundantly". Sickness is incipient death. It starts by stealing your enjoyment of life, it brings torment from pain and its accompanying symptoms, it takes away your freedom because you cannot do the things you used to do. Sickness is a prison yard, and if unchecked, it will carry out its ultimate mission - to kill. Whenever you feel symptoms of sickness, know that the devil wants to kill you, but know at the same time that Jesus wants to give you life. Step on the side of the Master Jesus and receive life!
THE DESIRE OF GOD
3John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers". God wants your good (divine) health, but it comes when your soul prospers. Your soul prospers through the word. A healthy soul makes a healthy body, free from plagues, flus and seasonal sicknesses. God wants you healthy all the time. He hates sickness. That's why Jesus healed every sick person He came across.
THE SIGN OF THE BELIEVER
Mark 16:17-18 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover". Healing is so important that it was added as part of the identity of the believer
