Doom 3 looks amazing in 2024

20 years ago, probably one of the best action horror shooters to date released. It fell short to people's expectations of what they knew from prior doom games. However, Doom 3 was a technological feat like many games of it's time, that pushed the boundaries of what we experience to this day. Doom 3 is an underrated, narratively driven, nightmare fueled, atmospheric shooter that makes use of lighting and sound to fill the player with dread. It deserves a proper remake like Dead Space 2023. In the meantime, here is my attempt at a visual overhaul. This game holds up so well with it's lighting, that even in 2024 I only used 4 mods.
