"The Legendary Howard Q. was born into a family of musicians. Began collecting records at 5 years of age and by 13 was considered an audio file by most who knew him. Being a drummer & military brat himself, his tastes in music would be as diverse as the people he would encounter moving around the world. Being no stranger to high end turntables, it is not surprising, while attending Tennesse State University, he would pick up the Dj craft after being exposed to the mid-west DJs from Chicago & Detroit. That was 1986. By 1989, he, along with LaMar ‘DJ 2 Smooth” Taylor would be hosting some of the largest & most memorable college parties of that era. After finishing college, Howard moved to Memphis, TN where he developed his genre inclusive mix style & eventually opened one of the most iconic nightclubs in the region… Denim & Diamonds. Even though the venue closed in 2003, his legacy continues through his mixtape catalog, parties & radio shows."
