In December 2021, a dramatic arrest unfolded at a Tularosa gas station involving a New Mexico State Police officer and an individual apprehended for driving under the influence. Following a flee from a traffic stop, this person was found 20 miles away and a confrontation ensued at the gas station. The individual denied involvement before allegedly assaulting the officer.
