Trespasser (1998) Longplay [PC-Win98] Jurassic Park Fps with real physics [1/3]

Gabe Newell cited Trespasser as influential to Half Life 2's physics though its failure was frightening to him and the rest of Valve.
By the press at 1998 it was called the WORST GAME THEY EVER PLAYED ...
Welcome to a 1998 revolutionary 3D FPS from DreamWorks that was ground breaking, but its high system requirements , bugs and uniqueness for some was too complex , hehe ... if you ask me , for all those remasters out there this is a perfect game to remaster with a VR support , it even was build with it in mind and you see it ...

Its one of those fine examples when reviewers killed a revolutionary game ... marking it as a critical failure

Never Trust Paid Reviewers

For Some this was 1998 Crysis ... if you PC could run Trespasser your PC was Solid ... same was with OutCast ,when all its graphics where Voxel based taxing the CPU like crazy ...

If you ask why all those said this was a awful game :
*Big empty maps
*Physics Puzzles that for reviewers at that time where Dumb (??? , fps at that time where more jump puzzles and colour keys , then shoot this to move this )
*You run from point A to B
*You lose all your weapons when you start the game
*Awkward real physics based weapon handling and aiming (facepalm , for me this was this game strong point and the main thing that sold this game)
*Key hunting in later sections
*You can only have two things in your inventory
*Crashes
*Missing geometry
*20fps vsynch HARD LOCK ...(that was removed later on by fans , if you ask why 20fps ... its physics engine was build on real time calculation and CPUs at that time where too slow to process Software Graphics and its Physics at the same time , hence the lock)
*Badly designed story line and game progression , that can get you stuck in some easy sections
*Game design that was downgraded , from a Survival Game like Robinson Requiem to a simple FPS
*They spend too much time on the game engine side then on the gaming design side ...
*Missing Left arm , no story explanation why its missing (they could not figure out how to implement it)
*The whole game feels like a glorified beta tech demo for VR headsets arcade booths , then a retail PC game

Well to be fair it was a Vr game , but when the VR push to PC failed hard ... they had to rework the project into this game that you see here ... in other words EA should remaster this game since it owns now the studio that made this game , that later made Medal of Honours for them , and now did StarWars BattleField 4 (i call it four since its the fourth game , contrary how the Pr calls it)
