Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness. It is home for such animals as lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, hippos, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, impalas, different bird species and more. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. Enjoy the landscape that has grassy plains and rolling hills. But the best known thing about Maasai Mara is the Great Migration. The Great Migration in Africa is a breathtaking nature phenomenon which takes place between April and October each year. More than two million wildebeest and zebras trek from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Massai Mara National reserve in Kenya.
Thousands of animals grazing the grass plains, a great number of wildebeest are trying to cross the Mara River braving and fighting the crocodiles. These animals migrate, meet their enemies and fight them bravely struggling for life and looking for greener pastures.
