Victorian Senator David Van has been expelled from the liberal Party room in Canberra after he was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow politician. Senator Van has emphatically denied the allegation levelled at him by crossbench Senator Lidia Thorpe who used parliamentary privilege to detail her claim against him.
