There's no denying that video games have evolved radically over the last several decades. And to think that 30 years ago many of us were thrilled with entirely pixelated games, and now we have titles with great realistic visuals. Unfortunately, we did discover a drawback to all of this. For quite some time now, studios have been shifting their focus away from physical versions of the games and towards digital distribution platforms. It's the same with official strategy guides. While it was a big deal for certain players twenty years ago, nowadays they are mostly produced in tiny quantities and are rather considered collector's items. In this video, we are going to discuss some interesting facts and overall reasons why the players and developers should still give more heart to the boxed versions and official guides.
