Benjamin Feibleman is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He enlisted in 2001, 7 months prior to 9/11, and was deployed to Iraq shortly thereafter. He received his master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He made news headlines when he was retroactively expelled, and his degree was revoked due to false accusations of sexual misconduct levied against him by a fellow student. He subsequently filed a federal Title IX lawsuit against Columbia University seeking $25,000,000 in damages. The lawsuit has since been settled, and Benjamin was awarded an undisclosed but significant monetary settlement as well as having his degree restored and noted as an alumnus in good standing.
