A baby elephant was rescued from a ditch by Forest Department officials with the help of locals in the Golaghat district on August 01. The baby elephant was separated from his mother and fell into a ditch in the Bokial tea estate in Numaligarh. The rescued elephant calf was later sent to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
