"Long Gone" was a 1987 HBO Pictures film starring William Petersen and Virginia Madsen. The movie was based on a novel by the same name written by Paul Hemphill.
The movie is about members of the Tampico Stogies, a fictional Gulf Coast League team, in the summer of 1957.
The Stogies' home stadium is played by Henley Field in Lakeland, Florida. Henley Field today is the home of the Florida Southern College Moccasins.
