The story of how Babbage's (later GameStop) went from a small Dallas computer software/video game specialty store, with competition like EB Games, Software Etc, and WaldenSoftware, to becoming the largest electronic entertainment software retailer on the planet.
New computer systems like the Commodore 64, Apple II, TRS-80, and Atari 400, among others, had created a great new market for video game/software consumers. Gary Kusin and James McCurry were determined to make a name for themselves in this new market, founding Babbage's in 1983. Little did they know just how far their venture would take them...
