Rise and Fall of the WWE Pirate Paul Burchill

In this video we are going to take a look at the Rise and Fall of the wwe pirate Paul Burchill.
The man behind the WWE pirate gimmick was Paul Burchill, an England native who had caught the attention of the WWE in his home promotion FWA - Frontier Wrestling Alliance.
Paul Burchill had an impressive arsenal of moves, such as Paul Burchill’s C4, a standing moonsault side slam, a move later known as walk the plank but was never actually called that on air by the Smackdown and Velocity commentators.
Paul Burchill debut in the main roster happened during a William Regal match with Scotty 2 Hotty in late AUGUST 2005, on the D show Velocity, with no build up whatsoever.
This wasn’t the wwe paul burchill pirate gimmick yet, that would come later.
Paul Burchill and William Regal would then form a tag team and they would flounder on the Smackdown tag team scene all the way to February 2006 when they would go their separate ways as a team.
Paul Burchill would then embrace becoming a WWE pirate wrestler for a short run of only four months.
