The Rolex Submariner “No Date” technically is the true Submariner; the 116610 is the Submariner Date. This No Date Sub is a rare sight, too; most Submariner models have the quasi-notorious “Cyclops Eye.” This reference 114060 is the direct descendant of the Rolex worn by James Bond in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The GMT-Master II black bezel is a cult watch of sorts. While most Rolex GMT buyers seek a bezel with a nickname – Pepsi, Batman, Rootbeer – the black Cerachrom bezel of the standard Rolex 116710LN is a sober and understated companion.
