FTP: How to Configure Your Website in Smart FTP

In this HostPapa tutorial, we show you how to configure your website in SmartFTP.

This tutorial assumes you already have SmartFTP running on your computer but not connected to another server.
Click Sites at the top of the SmartFTP window. Then select Site Manager. In the site manager window, you can create a New Group, create New Site or Delete them.

Once you have created a new group you will have to fill in the details of the website, so SmartFTP can connect to it via FTP.

Note: if the domain name has not been propagated, you’ll have to enter the website’s IP address instead of the domain name. Double-check to make sure everything has been entered properly. Then click Apply and close.

Once we have successfully configured the website by setting it up in our Site Profile Manager and have established a connection.
