Can Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness Be Fixed?

The Angel of Darkness is the black sheep of the Tomb Raider series, an ambitious project with a troubled development cycle and utltimately rushed out the door by Eidos in 2003. It's broken, unfinished and sloppy. But there are fan patches that attempt to fix it, but are they successful? Here's a level-by-level assessment of the patched game.
