England 8-0 Turkey (1987) ECQ

England move to the brink of qualifying for the 1988 European Championships by thrashing Turkey 8-0 at Wembley in October 1987. Gary Lineker nets a hat-trick, while John Barnes scores twice and Bryan Robson, Peter Beardsley and Neil Webb all find the net. It is the second time in the 1980s that England beat Turkey 8-0, but just months earlier the away fixture ended goalless.
