▶HOW TO GET THE STEMS

1) Download the zipped folder here:

This folder contains the lead vocals as well as backing vocals with effects as well as the midi chords for the verses and choruses.
2) Unzip and pull the stems into your DAW
3) Create your remix. You can use the stems provided but you must create an original remix. Simply mixing the same stems and uploading is not allowed.

▶ HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR REMIX

1) When finished, export your song, add your artwork and Upload to Youtube or Soundcloud publicly. To learn about the best audio formats, check out one of my mastering tutorials.
You must use the title format:
"Clo Sur - While You Think It Over - (Your Name/ or artist name) Remix"

2) Send a link of your YouTube or SoundCloud remix to "remixclosur@gmail.com" along with a short paragraph about your production/music. We want to make sure you are a real person!

3) Support each other and comment on other remixes, we are a big community and all love support and praise :)

Q) Where do I submit my remix?
A) After posting it on YouTube or Soundcloud, email a link to "remixclosur@gmail.com" to confirm your submission.

Q) Can I do a different genre?
A) Yes! please do what you feel is best for the song and your skills

Q) What's the deadline?
A) Make sure to submit your remix before the 3rd of May 23:59 GMT and email your link to "remixclosur@gmail.com"

Q) Can I make more than one remix?
A) You, however, you can only submit one entry.

Q) Do likes/subscribers/views give me more chance of winning?
A) Nope! We have had winners in the past with as few at 16 views! We judge based on the sound.

▶ Terms and Conditions / Rules

- The Contest Submission period begins at 17:00 AM GMT on April 3rd, 2020 and ends at 11:59PM GMT on May 3rd, 2020.
- Submissions are only valid on YouTube and Soundcloud. Any other distribution voids entry.
- The stems cannot be used in any original work. They are for use in this remix contest only.
-The winners will be selected by Michael Wynne (In The Mix), Clo Sur and Solo Ray during the judging period. In the event of us not coming to a full agreement, the final winners will be selected by Michael Wynne.
-One entry per contestant. Entrants must be aged 16 or over or have parents permission to enter.
-This is NOT a mixing contest, your remix must be original but you can use a combination of the stems provided within your track.
-Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received, artistic and technical merit of the entry judged by subjective criteria.
- You must only submit your remix to Youtube or Soundcloud.
- You might need to create a YouTube or SoundCloud account to upload, YouTube and SoundCloud are not affiliated with and are not sponsors of this contest.
-You must be able to prove the remix is your own work, I will call the winners individually to ensure they created the remix.
-No purchase necessary, the contest is void where prohibited by law.
-Prizes are provided by the sponsors of the contest. If for an unforeseen circumstance, a prize is out of stock a suitable replacement will be offered.
-The contest is open to the following countries/regions: The UK, Ireland, Europe and EU countries, Ukraine, USA, Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. If you are outside these regions, you may create a remix and share it but you cannot be included in the judging - I am deeply sorry for this. There are technical and legal issues which I have no power over
