Mood Killer is hard. Very, very, hard. They don’t let you forget it for a moment in their high-octane new music video, “Go Hard.” The electrifying sleeper hit from their debut EP “Liquify” blasts you with off the wall imagery as relentless as the beat. Welcome to Mood Killer’s universe. Hope you survive the ride.
“I wanted to go really hard,” says Mood Killer. And they do. Very, very, hard. “I used to be soft. Now I’m hard. I put on a suit of armor to protect myself but I don’t remember how to take it off.”
Mood Killer’s oddball stream of imagery walks the line between genius and complete fool. One moment they’re a totalitarian sith lord shooting lightning from their fingers and the next they’re elf Jesus on the moon being crucified on guitars. The lyrics are equally bonkers, namechecking Leonardo Da Vinci and Oprah in the same sentence as celebrated “hard” icons.
The gleefully punishing visual was directed by Mood Killer in collaboration with Dorian Electra and Weston Allen with song production by OREN.
Mood Killer’s remix of their music video for ‘Cam Boy’ premiere at an exhibition at the Museum of Sex. They recently toured with Dorian Electra across the US and London performing their debut EP Liquify. They’ve worked with and performed with a wide variety of pop artists including Charli XCX, Kim Petras, Allie X, Daya, Pussy Riot, and more.
